Simpson Technologies Moving HQ to Naperville’s CityGate Centre

Simpson Technologies Corporation will relocate its headquarters and Tech Center from Aurora, IL, to CityGate Centre in Naperville. Simpson will occupy 9,349 square feet at 2135 CityGate Ln. The 10-year lease will commence by Nov. 1 of this year and will bring the Class-A building to 88 percent occupancy. The lease was brokered by Patrick Commercial Real Estate for Simpson and by Calamos Real Estate for CityGate Centre.

An innovator in process and control technology for the global foundry and process industries for more than a century, today tens of thousands of Simpson machines are installed in foundries and process locations worldwide: in over 65 countries and serving over 100 different industries.

“As a global tech center, we will be receiving visitors from around the world,” said Simpson Technologies CEO Bruce Dienst. “The campus of CityGate provides all the amenities for our national and international visitors to have a quality and convenient experience when they visit Simpson.  The modern construction and facilities of the building will also support our brand image and assist us in our goal to attract and retain the best talent in our industry.”

At CityGate Centre, the best attributes of an urban neighborhood - walkable access to fine dining along with casual fare; green space; a Forbes-recommended, AAA Four Diamond hotel; healthcare, spa & fitness facilities; new, luxury apartments; and easy access via state and interstate highway systems - are together in a pristine, suburban setting. While commercial tenants gravitate to the accessible location, ample parking, food options and workout facilities, the variety of office space options available is another draw to the location.

"Leasing at CityGate Centre continues to benefit from the move toward smaller footprints, statement spaces and upgraded amenities," said Calamos Real Estate VP and Managing Broker Chris Landis. "Available Class A office space at CityGate Centre ranges from 200 square feet to more than 20,000 square feet with levels of build-out varying from raw space to white box, from fully built-out to fully furnished."

The mixed-use community also has in-fill lots ranging from 2.23 to 3.99 acres, including a high-visibility lot along Rte. 59, available as the development expands to include new uses, such as the recently opened luxury residential building and planned event center.
