The recent SIMPSON inclusion marks the fourth time since 2020 CityGate Centre is recognized on the annual list.
In 2020 Choose DuPage launched its annual Smartest, Sleekest & Healthiest Workplaces in DuPage list--now simplified to DuPage County's Smartest Workplaces--naming our multi-use community, CityGate Centre, to its inaugural list. In the four years since, a CityGate Centre tenant has been named to the list three times:
M/I Homes regional headquarters at 2135 CityGate Lane was Naperville's largest office-only lease in 2022 and was named to the Smartest list for that year. The space was recognized for its focus on health, including the ionized clean-air system Calamos Real Estate installed in the building in 2021, and for the leading homebuilders' philosophy that "every square foot serve a purpose."
Most recently, the 2024 list includes one of CityGate Centre's newest tenants, SIMPSON, which is recognized for it's approach to workplace design, "What's good for the planet and what's good for people are often the same thing." The review further notes the floor-to ceiling windows that not only allow beautiful views, but by allowing abundant natural light the transparent, microscopically thin coating on the glass reflects UV and infrared energy, helping maintain the temperature inside the building. It notes it's only one of the many green features at SIMPSON's new HQ, chose in part because of the commitment to sustainability at CityGate Centre.
In addition to being named to the DuPage Smartest list, SIMPSON also joined the ranks business headquarters that call CityGate Centre home: beginning with anchor Calamos Investments in 2005 and continuing with PMA Financial Network, Investortools, Koru Group, Villa Tech and M/I Homes regional HQ.
